2. Information We Collect
We collect and process information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, administer, and improve the Service. This may include:
- Email address, for authentication and service communication.
- Account information such as plan type, subscription status, and usage information.
- Content you provide when using TitleGen, such as video topics, keywords, prompts, instructions, and other generation inputs.

- Publicly available YouTube channel and video information used when you request Channel DNA analysis.

3. YouTube Channel Data and Channel DNA
TitleGen includes a Channel DNA feature that analyses publicly available YouTube information to help tailor certain outputs to a channel.
When you request a Channel DNA scan, TitleGen may process publicly available information including the channel name and information from up to the 50 most recent public videos, including video titles, descriptions, and related publicly available video details.
We use this information to create a Channel DNA profile, which may include derived characteristics such as the channel's tone, style, and other patterns relevant to generating descriptions, accompanying tags, and related creator tools.
Channel DNA analysis is based on publicly available channel and video information. It does not require access to private YouTube Studio analytics for the Channel DNA scan described above.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide TitleGen's title, description, research, Channel DNA, and related creator tools.
- Generate AI-assisted outputs requested by users.
- Analyse public YouTube channel information when a Channel DNA scan is requested.
- Authenticate users and manage accounts.
- Process subscriptions, billing, and account administration.

5. AI Service Providers
TitleGen uses third-party artificial intelligence providers to deliver AI-powered features.
Our primary AI provider is Google Gemini. We also use OpenAI as a fallback AI provider where necessary to complete a request or maintain availability of the Service.
Depending on the feature being used, information processed by an AI provider may include your prompt or topic, instructions required to generate the requested output, and relevant public YouTube channel or video information used for Channel DNA analysis.
These providers may process prompts, contextual information, and generated responses in order to provide their AI services to TitleGen. They may also retain limited operational, security, abuse-prevention, or legally required records in accordance with their applicable terms, data processing arrangements, and service configuration.
TitleGen does not sell your prompts, generated outputs, or Channel DNA data to third parties for advertising or resale.
We do not use your prompts, generated outputs, or Channel DNA data to train our own proprietary AI models unless we clearly notify you and establish an appropriate basis for doing so.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Where UK data protection law applies, we process personal data on one or more of the following bases:
- Performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to provide the Service or feature you have requested.
- Legitimate interests, including operating and securing the Service, preventing abuse, improving reliability, and processing relevant publicly available information when providing requested channel-analysis features.
- Compliance with legal obligations that apply to TitleGen Ltd.
- Consent, where consent is required, including for certain non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain authentication, remember preferences, improve site performance, maintain security, and understand how the Service is used.
Where required by law, we ask for consent before using non-essential cookies. Where cookie controls are available, you can manage your preferences through those controls or through your browser settings.
8. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share information with service providers only where reasonably necessary to provide, secure, administer, or support TitleGen.

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom.
Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that international transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection law.
10. Data Retention and Channel DNA Deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the Service, maintaining security, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.
Channel DNA scan data remains associated with your TitleGen account until it is deleted.
You can permanently delete your stored Channel DNA scan data using the deletion control provided within TitleGen. You may also ask us to delete Channel DNA data by contacting us.
Stored Channel DNA scan data is also deleted when the associated TitleGen account is permanently deleted.
Deleting Channel DNA from TitleGen removes the stored Channel DNA scan data controlled by TitleGen. Third-party infrastructure or AI providers may independently retain limited security, abuse-prevention, operational, or legally required records for periods determined by their applicable terms and service configuration.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data through the Settings page where available or by contacting us. We will process valid deletion requests in accordance with applicable data protection law.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
